Alta Protect: the cameras become sensors

Alta Protect is part of Avigilon Alta, together with Alta Video and Alta Access. The cameras and access control you already have work as sensors.

The camera is the sensor

The camera recognises people and vehicles and triggers an alarm in a zone that is switched on. With a microphone connected, it can also hear glass breaking. If you already have sensors, we connect them.

You split the building into zones

A zone is an area, such as the warehouse or the office. Cameras and sensors are grouped into zones, and each zone is armed and disarmed on its own.

Arm and disarm when you want

You arm and disarm from a phone or PC, or let a schedule do it. Then the alarm is on even if someone forgets. Another system, such as access control, can arm and disarm it too. At the entrance, a panel with PIN and card can do the same.

You see what happened

The alert comes with the picture from the camera that triggered it. You do not have to search sensor logs and footage to find out whether it was a real event.

The alarm can pass on to the people who respond

Alta Protect connects to the monitoring software of your alarm centre or guard company. The connection uses integrations in Alta, such as rules and an API, so the alarm goes there without anyone forwarding it.

With Avigilon Cloud Speaker, a speaker on site can scare off intruders and calm a situation down. You talk to the person through the system while you watch the picture from the camera.

Alta Protect builds on the cameras from video surveillance and can be linked to access control.
